The time is almost here: entries for the Emden Screenplay Award will be open again from 15 December 2025!
Our nomination committee will shortlist up to 12 works from all the screenplays submitted. From this shortlist, a screenplay jury convened in cooperation with the Grimme Institute will nominate three screenplays for the Emden Screenplay Award. This nomination comes with prize money of €1,000 and an invitation to the award ceremony in Emden.
The Emden Screenplay Award comes with prize money totalling €12,000. This amount includes the prize money for the nominations. The winner of the prize will receive €10,000 for the development of new projects.
