The future is here and promises a brave new world: foreign languages can be learnt in a matter of seconds, specialist knowledge can be easily uploaded, and virtual sensory experiences open up new horizons. This is made possible by head-mounted interfaces that allow human brains to connect directly to computers and even to other brains. The critical Mona is strictly opposed to the new technology. But when her boyfriend Milo falls into a neurotechnological coma, only Mona has the courage to expose herself to brain bugs or mental malware. To save Milo, she must travel into his mind herself. What price are we willing to pay for the future? An unbridled, passionate film bathed in flickering neon light, searching for the last remnants of humanity in a world of big tech companies, deep brain stimulation and artificial intelligence.

Joscha Douma
JOSCHA DOUMA (*1975 im Ruhrgebiet) absolvierte ein Volontariat am Institut für Neue Medien in Rostock. Dann studierte er Kulturwissenschaften an der Universität Hildesheim mit Schwerpunkt Literatur, Theater, Medien und Philosophie. Es folgten erste literarische und filmische Gehversuche sowie ein Regiestudium an der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. In dieser Zeit jobbte er in verschiedenen Bereichen, vom Nachtwächter bis zum Lektor. Später lehrte er Stoffentwicklung und Kreatives Schreiben, sowohl an der Filmakademie, als auch im Ausland. Als Autor begann er unter dem Namen Belo Schwarz zu veröffentlichen.
