Rabia, a precocious ten-year-old girl, suddenly finds her village school closed. It is rumoured that the school is haunted and her teacher is possessed by a Jinn. Confused, Rabia questions the villagers, but receives conflicting answers. As she navigates local superstition and bureaucratic knots to find out what actually happened, magical forces are unleashed.

SEEMAB GUL ist eine unabhängige britisch-pakistanische Produzentin, Drehbuchautorin und Regisseurin. Ihre Arbeit ist interdisziplinär, steht im Zeichen des aktuellen politischen Diskurses und konzentriert sich häufig auf die Erfahrungen von Außenseitern. 2024 gründete sie in Pakistan Cinelava, eine Produktionsfirma, die sich dem zum Nachdenken anregenden Arthouse-Kino verschrieben hat. "Ghost School" ist ihr Debüt-Spielfilm, der auf dem Toronto International Film Festival 2025 Premiere feierte.
