COLM BAIRÉAD (*1981 in Dublin, Irland) realisierte bereits als Teenager erste Kurzfilme und studierte dann am Dublin Institute of Technology Film und Rundfunk. Mit seinem ersten Kurzfilm nach dem Studium „Mac an Athar (His Father’s Son)“ feierte er international Festivalerfolge. Er drehte mehrere Filme in irischer Sprache und arbeitete für den irischsprachigen TV-Sender TG4. 2012 gründete er mit Cleona Ní Chrualaoi die Produktionsfirma Inscéal.
