Trine refuses to fly. When the 18-year-old climate activist and trumpet talent gets invited to an audition at the famous Opera House in Oslo, she only has days to travel the over 1500km from the remote Lofoten islands to the capital. Trying to stay true to her principles, Trine decides to hitch-hike, relying on the kindness of a series of strangers who will pick her up. On a road trip through the rugged and beautiful landscapes of Norway, her passion for music and her environmental idealism are put to the test.

LAURENS PÉROL (*1995 in Stuttgart) studierte Moving Images an der Nordland School of Art and Film in Norwegen und begann im Herbst 2023 sein Regie-Masterstudium an der Filmakademie Wien. Seine Kurzfilme, in denen er sich mit der Beziehung zwischen Individuum und Gesellschaft beschäftigt, wurden international auf Festivals gezeigt. Mit „Üben, Üben, Üben | Å Øve“ gibt er sein Spielfilmdebüt, das 2023 bei den Nordischen Filmtagen in Lübeck mit dem Publikumspreis ausgezeichnet wurde.
