Three teenage girls twerk in hijab and sing a pop song. A YouTube video of it makes them famous overnight, especially among Kurdish Muslims. Yesmin is the only one of the friends who is Kurdish herself. Nati and Bella seem fascinated by a world that is strange to them. A film about young people caught between social media and self-discovery, a story of rebellious young women.

Kurdwin Ayub
KURDWIN AYUB (*1990 im Irak) lebt und arbeitet als Regisseurin und Drehbuchautorin in Wien. Von 2008 bis 2013 studierte sie Malerei und experimentellen Animationsfilm an der Universität für angewandte Kunst in Wien sowie performative Kunst an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien. Ihr erster Langfilm, der Dokumentarfilm „Paradies! Paradies!“, lief auf internationalen Filmfestivals und gewann mehrere Preise.
